Intersections

My initial concept is to create a growing, weaving, and intersecting syntactical form which will artificially tie the superstructure into the site by using surface as a vehicle of connection. The weaving forms will also allow for a lizard-like bio-mimetic skin that can be applied to sustainable functions such as water cachement.

The juxtaposition of super structure and ground as it is bridged by artificial surface articulation can draw from organic patterns as seen in plant cell structure as well as the pattern of man-made velcro hooking onto a surface. Both instances reference the paradox of the artificial connection between man made structure and land form in the use of physical anchoring and sustainable strategies
